Introduction to AP Classes
AP Chemistry
At CLA, you can learn Chemistry from a professor with a doctorate in Chemistry and years of teaching experience at various universities in and near Pittsburgh. If you really want to get that 5 in AP Chemistry Exam, think CLA.
AP Calculus BC
AP Calculus BC is a vast subject that cannot be adequately covered in a single year. Therefore, most high school teachers are forced to skip much of the background explanations and application examples when teaching, even though they can teach them if they had an opportunity to do so. As a result, most students will have one or two content areas they don’t feel as comfortable in compared to other areas. CLA can supplement a student’s learning of AP Calculus BC by addressing these areas of discomfort that unavoidably develops. Our Calculus instructor has a master’s degree in Computational Mathematics with years of experience helping students score a 5 in AP Calculus BC. The class will be fluid in its content as it will seek to enforce what students just learned in school, and fill in the gaps with ease and confidence. Let CLA help students master AP Calculus BC more comfortably.
AP Physics C
AP Physics C can be the most challenging Science course for a high school student. It requires understanding of both Physics and Calculus to properly master. CLA has helped students score a 5 in AP Physics C subjects. Let CLA reveal the wonderful world of physics to you.
AP English Literature
This is a supplemental AP English Literature class designed to help students better understand English literature, and improve with writing their essays. At CLA, you have a chance to learn English literature from someone who has a doctorate in English literature, and years of teaching experiences at various universities and high schools in the Pittsburgh area. Come and learn with the best.
AP English Languages & Composition
AP English requires students to write many pieces in various formats. It also requires someone who is well versed in linguistic and literary aspects of English. CLA’s AP English instructors all have advanced degrees in English along with 10+ years of teaching English in diverse settings around Pittsburgh. Come and learn from the best.
