AP Free Response Questions Practice and Grading Session
This Session is for all who are preparing to take AP Exam in May 2018. Complete Learning Academy(CLA) is offering a Free Response Questions practice session and professional grading of the Free Response Questions for free. In addition, a representative from CLA will answer any questions you have about the AP to best of his ability. To register please contact CLA with AP Exam subject of interest. It will help the student better if the student can provide any details about Free Response Questions the student has already seen, or is planning to see before the practice session, as well as any question you have about the AP. Students will take the practice test at the Library room 148-2. The math, history, and science AP Exam’s grading will be done on site, and other subjects’ grading will be done after the session is over. The score report will be mailed or emailed to the student. ACT Math and Science Immersion Class
In order to help students with Math and Science studies, Complete Learning Academy decided to run a ACT Math and Science immersion class for the summer of 2017 at a greatly discounted price. ACT Math and Science covers broad number of topics that will help students with various math and science subjects.
ACT Math Content: Mostly what is covered in standard Algebra II and Geometry textbooks , but will have small number of questions from Pre-Algebra to PreCalculus, and occasionally from AP Statistics. ACT Science Content: The test is about basic knowledge, understanding, and practical use of introductory biology, physics, chemistry, environmental science, earth science, astronomy, and engineering. There will be at least one question that involves very advanced concepts like particle physics, nuclear engineering, electrical engineering, genetics and biochemistry.

The above link contains a claim that “doing well on this section requires very little scientific background knowledge” which is not correct. There will be at least one question in each sub-section of the science test that students will be able to solve much quicker with better odds of being correct if the student possess the related scientific knowledge. )

MTWThF 10:15 – 11:15 am – ACT Science
Tuition : $20 per hour
There is no minimum amount of hours a student needs to attend. It is possible for a student to come during June, take a break during July, and then resume the studies in August.

Literature and Math Workshop
On June 17th, CLA will have another workshop, this time focusing on Literature and Math
The Literature workshop will use SAT Literature Subject Test for the practice exam part, but it really is a general overview of what a student needs to know about Literature from 9th to 12th grade English courses. The contents of the lecture will help not just those who are preparing for SAT Literature test, but also those getting ready for AP English Language, AP English Literature, IB Literature, SAT/ACT Reading test, and even those preparing for 9th grade English Studies or GRE. The lecturer will be Dr. Zedolik who has received a Doctorate in English Literature and has taught English Literature at various universities.
The Math workshop will use SAT Math Level II Subject Test for the practice exam part. It will cover everything from PreAlgebra to Application of Calculus as there are some problems which are solvable with only Algebra I knowledge, but can be done much faster if you know Calculus. It will help anyone getting ready for Algebra II, PreCalculus, Calculus, AP Calculus, IB Math tests, SAT/ACT Math, and even Math Olympiad or other math competition tests. Special emphasis will be placed on Number theories, Estimation tactics, Calculator tips, vectors, counting, probabilities, graphing, and equation manipulations.
The schedule of day will be as follows
9:00 - 10:00 am : Practice Exam
10:00 - 10: 15 am : Grading and break
10: 15 - 11:35 am : First lecture period
11: 35 - 11:45 am : 2nd break
11:45 am - 1:00 pm : Second lecture period
We at CLA understand that students have differing time constraints, thus it is possible for students to miss the practice Exam or lecture period(s). If the student don't want to come for the practice exam, please notify me in advance so I may forward the practice exam to the students so they may study it before coming for the lecture.
The fee for the workshop is $10 for the hours of participation.

Free Practice SAT Subject Test at Northland Library
Free Practice SAT Subject Test available to anyone interested. This is a great opportunity to find out where a student is in terms of academic achievement of a particular subject. Also is an opportunity for those who want to practice for Real SAT Subject Tests in October and November. Limit of one test per individual. Grading and basic analysis of the test performance will be done on the spot. More detailed analysis can be made available by Complete Learning Academy. To register, it is necessary to contact Wontaek before September 17th with information on which is the interested subject, and what workbooks the student has already seen. Available Subject Tests are:
Literature, U.S. History, World History, Math Level 1, Math Level 2, Biology E/M, Chemistry, Physics, French, German, Spanish, Modern Hebrew, Italian, and Latin.
