Math Olympiad Problems
AMC 8
“The AMC 8 is a 25 question, 40 minute multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem solving skills.” (https://www.maa.org/math-competitions/american-mathematics-contest-8-amc-8)
High scorers may get recognition and certificate of achievement.

AMC 10
“The AMC 10 is a 25 question, 75 minute multiple choice examination in secondary school mathematics containing problems which can be understood and solved with pre-calculus concepts. Calculators are not allowed”

Top 2.5% in scoring may be invited to take AIME. The test is only available to those who are at, or below 10th grade.

AMC 12
AMC 12 is similar to AMC10 except it involves more difficult questions and is open to those in 11th and 12th grade. Top 5% in scoring may be invited to take AIME.

AIME
“For students who perform exceptionally well on the AMC 10/12, they are invited to continue participating in the AMC series of examinations that culminate with the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The first in this series is the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME), followed by the USA Mathematical Olympiad and Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO and USAJMO). The top participants from the USA(J)MO are invited to the Mathematical Olympiad Program in the summer after the competition. Participants from the Mathematical Olympiad Program are then eligible to be selected for the following summer’s six-member team that will represent the United States of America at the IMO.”

MATHCOUNTS
“A national program that provides students in grade 6-8 the opportunity to compete in live, in-person contests against and alongside their peers.”
“The Competition Series has 4 levels of competition—school, chapter, state and national. Each level of competition is comprised of 4 rounds—Sprint, Target, Team and Countdown Round. Altogether the rounds are designed to take about 3 hours to complete.”

High performers are invited to State and National Events with some of the travelling fee and accommodations provided by the Mathcounts organizers. Some Monetary awards may exist
