General Reading Writing
Every student’s vocabulary is different along with their cultural backgrounds. This makes it almost impossible for 8th to 10th grade English teachers to make sure all students know all the words needed, along with various nuances projected, and how to make use of it in the student’s own writing. This class at CLA seeks to fill the inevitable gaps in vocabulary, critical reading, and writing fundamentals with a small class that emphasizes on vocabulary lessons, critical analysis, and how to achieve clear and concise writing.
GRE Verbal & Writing
Most GRE prep services in Pittsburgh requires the student you to spend half or more study time on the Quantitative section when usually it the section a student needs least help in. CLA offers a GRE program dedicated to the Verbal and Analytical Writing section for those who don’t need much as much help with Math. Come and see the difference.
General Tutoring
If you need broad academic help, we can provide a general tutoring that is optimized just for the student. The fee depends on the type of tutoring needed for each week, and can vary from $20 per hour for general math, science, and history and up to $70 per hour for in depth help with essays and literature.
